March 25 CERT Training: Maintaining Health in a Time of Disaster

After a disaster you are at greater risk for illness and serious disease. Learn about different diseases that occur following natural disasters, how to prevent infection and maintain your health, and the role of CERTs in addressing issues such as pandemics.

Our presenter is Dr. Tobi L. Schmidt, an immune health expert and a passionate advocate of empowering personal health through lifestyle choices. Dr. Schmidt conducts research focused on understanding and modulating the immune system to restore balance and eliminate disease. She received her Ph.D. from the Stanford School of Medicine in Microbiology and Immunology and has researched treatments for cancers and chronic diseases in both academic and pharmaceutical labs. She teaches immune health courses for Stanford Continuing Studies Program and offers lectures and workshops focused on improving and maintaining immune health and managing chronic diseases.
