Creating a Culture of Preparedness in Diverse Populations

Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM PST; 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM ET

Disasters impact all parts of our community, regardless of your national origin, ethnicity, or the language you speak. Therefore, creating training and messaging accessible to non-English speakers is critical to save lives and create resilience when a disaster strikes.

Please join FEMA Regions II and IX in a webinar focused on the innovative and culturally inclusive programs that help prepare and train non-English speaking community members in disaster preparedness. These programs are excellent examples of our shared desire to more fully serve our communities at large.

Who should attend?  Community members, FEMA employees, stakeholders, and partners who wish to more fully engage diverse populations within their communities in emergency preparedness.
