Firefighter rehabilitation is the process of providing rest, re-hydration, nourishment, and medical evaluation to members who are involved in extended or extreme incident scene operations. In this course, we will train CERT members to recognize signs of physiological distress in firefighters. You will learn how to safely set up and perform the non-medical functions of firefighter rehabilitation. After completing this one-day training, there will be an opportunity to set-up and staff a Rehab Station for a shift at an upcoming firefighter training between February 24 and March 1. This practice is required before being added to our list to staff rehab for real incidents. Class size is limited, registration is required. Minimum age to attend is 18 years old. You must be a current CERT member in order to take this training.
